Cleaning in the time of Corona
At Maid For You, we understand just how important it is during this time that you are confident your home is clean and sanitized to protect you and your family from COVID-19. While we always take precautions to ensure that your home is germ free, we’re taking that promise to a whole new level now and we’re so excited to share with you exactly how we’re doing that.
Back in March when everything around us was shutting down, we were just getting to work. You see, cleaning staff are considered essential workers and so we knew we couldn’t just sit by. The staff at Maid For You took this opportunity to educate ourselves on the best practices when it comes to cleaning in the time of COVID-19 so that our clients can feel confident that not only are we leaving your home as clean as possible, but we are also disinfecting it and doing so safely.
One of the most important courses we took was through the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) which provides training to help businesses prepare for, respond to, and recover from biological threats such as COVID-19. We were certified through the GBAC on the prevention and response of infection control and contamination control measures to known infectious disease outbreak situations. In short, we know exactly how to eliminate traces of COVID-19 from your home or office.
We also took courses in how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools. Our staff was trained on when to use PPE, which types of PPE are necessary, what are the limitations, and most importantly how to correctly wear and dispose of PPE. And while it was certainly difficult to secure disinfectants and all necessary PPE, we want to assure our clients that we are fully stocked and ready to safely clean your home or office. When it comes to disinfectants, we were extensively trained on which solutions will most effectively eradicate the Coronavirus as well as the best methods to clean surfaces.
We are sharing all of this with our clients to show that we are not taking this virus lightly. It has become painfully apparent to everyone that it’s not enough to have a home that looks clean on the surface; properly disinfecting is what will keep your family safe. We are key in breaking the chain if the virus has been brought into the home.
